I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it, but I’m turning 40 next week.
Oh, you already knew? I’ve been going on and on about it for a while now?
Oh, ok. I’ll try to tone it down.
Since Dean took me to Chicago as an early birthday present in August, I wasn’t expecting a big production for my actual birthday. His exact words, if memory serves, were “I’d throw you a party, but you have no friends. So lets go on a trip instead”. Gotta hand it to the guy – he’s got a way with words.
He has, however, made reservations at the Keg and we will be heading there for a celebratory family dinner next Saturday. Very sweet.
|Look at how happy they are for me! Those two kids really know how to show their excitement…|
So today’s gift was a bit of a surprise. I am the happy to report that I am the proud new owner of a Cannon 6D camera. It is quite an upgrade from my Cannon Rebel XTi. Camera technology has come a long way since 2007! Did you know they have now integrated video cameras into DSLRs? I’m amazed at how much things have changed.
|Aren’t those acorns crisp?? I mean, check out that detail – no editing required!|
I’m going to have to step up my game – I’m playing with the big kids’ toys now. The image on this camera is so much crisper, the controls smoother and the weight so much more substantial. I can’t wait to get outside and start shooting!
Happy Birthday to me, indeed!
