Kicking Butt and Taking Names

I am a rock star.

True story.

Last week Angela, my trainer, launched workout a challenge for the month of November. Just to keep things interesting. A timed challenge to boot. Being a lover of challenges and great at working against the clock, it didn’t take much to sell me on the idea.

The goal was to complete the “100 club” challenge in 25 minutes or less.

The challenge consisted of:

  • 100 pushups,
  • 100 squats,
  • 100 jumps of jump rope,
  • 100 crunches, and
  • 100 burpees

 OK, so maybe I was a bit nervous, but I’m turning 40 in a few weeks and apparently I have something to prove.

And prove I did. Out of everyone who attempted the challenge (not everyone who attempted is listed on the board), not only am I the oldest, but I’m also THE ONLY ONE WHO FINISHED! (Milton doesn’t count – his crunches were done in poor form. Angela even said so!)

My current time is 24:22 and I hope to get it down to 20 minutes.
It might be wishful thinking, but this rock star is up to the challenge!
var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push([‘_setAccount’, ‘UA-22845532-1’]); _gaq.push([‘_trackPageview’]); (function() { var ga = document.createElement(‘script’); ga.type = ‘text/javascript’; ga.async = true; ga.src = (‘https:’ == document.location.protocol ? ‘https://ssl’ : ‘http://www’) + ‘’; var s = document.getElementsByTagName(‘script’)[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s); })();
