Loud and Crafty

We are gearing up for our first hockey tournament this weekend. Three full days of hockey and the boys are pumped. It is a big deal for everyone on the team and their excitement has been infectious. While we may not be the best team in our division, I want to be the team with the most spirit. The team with the loudest cheering section.

And loud it will be! I have a cow bell for each mother to ring, in keeping with a long-standing Michel family tradition. But I couldn’t just order a couple of dozen bells and hand them out, no muss no fuss. Who does that? Certainly not me. I was raised to turn any simple task into an extremely complicated and drawn out craft project. So a bit of ribbon, scissors some office labels, and three hours later, my cowbells are ready for the prom. Or tournament. It’s the perfect blend of Dean’s family’s sportiness and my family’s craftiness – Marg meets Fran, if you will. Either way they look great and I can’t wait to hear them ring.

If we play as good as we look, there will be no stopping us this weekend!
