My Baby’s Back!

My blue-eyed, Hubba-Bubba bubble-blowing baby boy is safe in his bed. He survived forty-eight whole hours away from home – alone! (well, not technically alone, he was at camp with Grandpa and Zjazja – and Baba was there, too)

var s = document.getElementsByTagName(‘script’)[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s);
})();

On Sunday, he left us in Niagara Falls, to journey the six-and-a-half hours north to camp. Grandpa had to be in Toronto for business Tuesday morning and promised to return him safely on his way into the city. I don’t think he and Zjazja fully understood what they were getting themselves into.

For the two days he was gone, Bronwyn didn’t mention his name once. I think she was enjoying life as an only child for a change. She got all the attention, the treats and the best spot to sit while watching HER favorite shows. No sharing necessary.

})();

On the flip side, Findley didn’t ask about us either. Grandpa phoned in updates at least twice a day, but the boy was always too busy to chat.

He’s looking forward to visiting on his own again soon, but wants to leave his tent at home and sleep in a real bed. I can’t say I blame him, but I won’t be letting him go anywhere without me for the next little while.
