It’s in The Mail – Honest

I have to say that the current postal strike hasn’t really had any effect on me. Dean was worried at first – he’s old school and sends his tax return in the mail. He was on pins and needles until the cheque came in (the day before postal workers were locked out).

I’ve noticed that my magazine pile has shrunken dramatically, but the junk mail pile has too – a bit of balance and a clean counter for a change. I pay most of my bills online and keep in touch with friends and family by email or phone.

Tvar _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push([‘_setAccount’, ‘UA-22845532-1’]); _gaq.push([‘_trackPageview’]); (function() { var ga = document.createElement(‘script’); ga.type = ‘text/javascript’; ga.async = true; ga.src = (‘https:’ == document.location.protocol ? ‘https://ssl’ : ‘http://www’) + ‘.google-analytics.com/ga.js’; var s = document.getElementsByTagName(‘script’)[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s); })();
But today is Grandma’s birthday. With our busy schedule we haven’t had an opportunity to visit with her since Mother’s Day. So, the card and gift we have sitting on our table will have to wait until we see Grandma in person, or until Canada Post can settle their differences and get back to work. Whichever comes first. My money is on seeing Grandma first.

Until then, a giant HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA is the best I can do.
