Forty Three

Dean survived Birthday Weekend 2011, and is officially 43 years old. After celebrating with a Superbowl party on Sunday and dinner with the kids on Monday, he is spending this evening on the ice with his old-timer teammates. I bet he’ll be feeling his age once he gets home…

While Daddy was playing hockey, we repurposed  a few old socks and made some puppets for our puppet theater. Bronwyn needed a mommy and baby pig and Finn made a few martians and a tiger, chosen because the sock had stripes. Very convenient.

Auntie Lee made Findley the “hang in the doorway” puppet theater last year and the kids are having a ball putting on little shows. The plot lines are very short and a bit wonky, but the stuffed animals in the audience really seemed to enjoy themselves. We laughed, we cried and we laughed some more.

I can’t wait to see what my two little puppet masters come up with tomorrow. And I hope they can incorporate my myopic snake into the story line.
